My Story
Hi I’m Anna,
I live in Liverpool with my husband and four children.
I’m a Certified Infant Sleep Consultant as well as a qualified Occupational Therapist.
My passion for understanding sleep came as a result of my own sleep battles in my younger years. From a teenager through to motherhood, managing sleep deprivation became increasingly hard, as I juggled family life, relationships, and the need to be a present mum. The most difficult period of my life was navigating newborn twins while raising a strong-willed toddler. At times, I felt lost, isolated, and helpless—overwhelmed by exhaustion.
I have personal experience of silent reflux, feed/sleep associations, frequent night wakings, split nights and understand all the emotions and challenges that these issues bring.
Despite endless scrolling, umpteen google searches at 4am and well-intentioned advice from other mums in my corner, I felt defeated and confused. I also felt a deep sense of guilt that I didn’t know how to fix it. My brain would start to overthink… Surely my motherly instincts should have taken over by now? How come Karen’s baby from playgroup has slept through since birth and I can’t get even get a few hours stretch? Either I’m doing something wrong or my babies are broken!
I regretfully remember my husband taking our twins for a drive during the early hours of the morning, as I was so sleep deprived that I had started to hallucinate! Looking back, what would have really helped and eased my anxieties, was to have that single voice cut through all the noise. To have that person give me a structured plan and guide me through such an exhausting period in my life. I should have reached out to a Sleep Consultant! I didn’t and unfortunately my mental and physical health suffered.
Being a Certified Infant Sleep Consultant partnered with my experience as an Occupational Therapist, enables me to consider how sleep issues impact both the child and wider family, emotionally, mentally and physically.
How can I help?
I’ve struggled, I’ve been there and now I can be your helping hand, your cheerleader and support.
When working with me you can be assured of care, kindness and encouragement, free from judgement.
As an Occupational Therapist, I have worked with countless clients, along with their families. Through completing assessments, goal setting and carrying out interventions, I have been able to help clients and their families face various hurdles and difficulties affecting their daily life.
Within my Sleep Consultancy, I do the same. I assess your little one’s sleep situation, listen to you regarding your families sleep goals, create a detailed and bespoke sleep plan and also provide you with daily support to implement it.
